About the Position
The Estimator is responsible for creating skilled and competitive bid packages as part of the greater process to generate new business for the company. Prepares and assists in preparing proposals for design-build, GMP, conceptual, and competitive hard bid projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimates and writes professional proposals using ethical standards and the most current and strategic cost versus profit margin data available internally and industry wide.
- Stays up to date with the latest trends and best practices in estimating.
- Interprets and evaluates construction documents, plans, specifications, engineering reports, and contracts to generate accurate construction costs estimates and proposals.
- Establishes and maintains professional working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and all company staff members to encourage teamwork.
