Summary/objective: Steel Craft Technologies is looking to hire a quality assembler who will focus on ensuring necessary quality standards are met for their team at their Grand Rapids, MI plant. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years experience or more of quality/assembling work or experience in the tool and die trade, be highly motivated to learn, and be a team player—noexperience is required for candidates that have good work ethic and a willingness to learn. On-the-job training will be provided.

Essential functions:
- Deburr parts as needed
- Complete any offline work with hand tools, drill press, saw, etc
- Complete quality checks to ensure features are in tolerance
- Assembly
- Packaging for shipping
- Load/unload trucks for shipping & receiving
- Maintain appropriate tools
- Keep current on tool calibration
- Assist with a wide variety of shop tasks as requested
- Keep work area clean
- Follow all safety rules and report unsafe work conditions to management
- Maintain regular attendance at work during scheduled work hours
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
- Willingness to be trained as necessary
- Experience with running a drill press and saw
- Experience with deburring
- General understanding of machinery
Physical demands:
- Candidate must have full use of all limbs
- Candidate must be able to read and speak English
- Candidate must be able to lift 40 pounds
- Ability to sit (or stand) for long periods of time
- Ability to use motorized equipment (i.e. forklift)
- Ability to use hands and fingers to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
