The Long Products Division, Steel of West Virginia has an immediate opening for an IT Infrastructure Intern. THIS IS AN ONSITE (IN-PERSON) POSITION.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for desktop hardware and office/productivity software, including but not limited to installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and training
• Perform administrations tasks on a group of servers, primarily Windows-based
• Troubleshoot and maintain networking components
• Coordinate with contractors to support more specialized applications and hardware
• With guidance, able to work with departments to identify current and future needs
• Assist with design, configuration and management of new or upgraded manufacturing network infrastructure equipment
• Assist with maintaining firewall rules, virus protection software and data security systems to keep operational data and communications protected
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in computer science or related field.
• Experience providing support for PCs and networking hardware
• Experience with Windows Server administration
• Ability to analyze complex problems and communicate with all levels of users.
• Willing to work in a production environment

Preferred

• Experience with server infrastructures
• Experience with network design, troubleshooting
• Experience with cybersecurity tool implementation and monitoring
