Job Title: Shipper/Receiver (Entry Level)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly communicative Shipper/Receiver to ensure the
efficient movement of goods entering and leaving our facility. This role plays a crucial part in
coordinating logistics with carriers, vendors, and customers while working closely with all
departments to align production and delivery schedules. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast paced environment, effectively prioritizes tasks, and adapts quickly to shifting needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee shipping and receiving operations to ensure timely movement of goods.
* Communicate with vendors, customers, carriers, and internal departments to align
production schedules with deliveries.
* Coordinate LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) and FTL (Full-Truckload) shipments via email
and phone.
* Manage inventory and shop materials, including maintaining control of all
consumables, plate, and structural shape materials.
* Maintain purchase order control, including receiving, verification, and proper labeling of
items.
* Review all incoming materials or goods for compliance with company purchase orders.
* Verify and match incoming bills with purchase orders, ensuring job costing accuracy in
Global Shop Solutions.
* Purchase consumables and safety items as directed for production and manufacturing.
* Coordinate cutter files of nested plate materials for Oxy/Plasma operations, working
with engineering, manufacturing supervisors, and burning bench personnel (training
provided on OmniWin by Messersoft; basic knowledge of nesting software or CAD is a
plus).
* Gather and prepare small parts for outgoing shipments, using UPS WorldShip or
FedEx systems as needed.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED required.
* Must be able to read, write legibly, and use/read a tape measure.
* Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
* Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience in logistics preferred, but training is provided.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
* Ability to learn and use the internal computer system (Global Shop Solutions).
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel (spreadsheets) is beneficial.
* Welding and manufacturing experience is a plus.
* Familiarity with inventory management is a plus.
Work Environment & Benefits:
* Full-time, hourly position (Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM).
