Drafting Technician

Location: Blackshear, GA, 31516

Steel & Metal Systems Inc. designs, sells, manufactures, and constructs metal buildings for the self-storage industry. The Drafting Technician will be responsible for producing construction and fabrication drawings in both AutoCAD and Revit for pre-engineered cold form self-storage buildings (single and multi-story). The Drafting Technician performs both routine and non-routine, drafting assignments. This position is for an in-house drafter and is not a remote or online position.

The following experience would be a plus:

• Commercial architectural drafting experience preferred.
• Familiar with Pre-engineered cold form steel design for self-storage         buildings (single & multi-story)
• Pre-engineered steel/structural design, estimating, and project management experience preferred.

Job Qualifications:

· AutoCAD experience 2 years (required)

· Revit experience (preferred)

· Problem solving skills

· Organizational and notetaking skills

· Time management skills

· Light gage steel knowledge (preferred)

· Ability to coordinate with other technicians and project managers to produce design deliverables

· Ability to work in a constantly changing and demanding environment

Capable of working independently and under supervision as an enthusiastic team player
