Drafting & Design:
- Produce construction and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD and Revit for pre-engineered cold-form self-storage buildings (single & multi-story).
- Prepare architectural and structural drafting layouts, elevations, sections, and details for self-storage buildings.
- Ensure designs are accurate, clear, and compliant with industry standards, building codes, and customer requirements.
Project Coordination:
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to develop and refine design deliverables.
- Assist in reviewing project specifications to ensure all drawings meet required guidelines and expectations.
- Coordinate with fabrication and construction teams to resolve design issues and incorporate feedback.
Quality Control & Compliance:
- Verify that all drawings adhere to World Class quality standards and meet project deadlines.
- Perform self-checks and peer reviews of drawings to ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness.
- Update drawings based on engineering modifications, client requests, or field changes.
Document Management & Organization:
- Maintain organized project files and drawing archives for reference and future modifications.
- Assist in developing standardized drafting templates, details, and guidelines for efficiency.
- Ensure proper version control and documentation of design changes throughout the project lifecycle.
Problem-Solving & Technical Support:
- Identify and troubleshoot design challenges in collaboration with engineers and construction teams.
- Suggest design improvements or value-engineering options for efficiency and cost savings.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, software updates, and best practices in drafting and design.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Participate in team meetings to discuss project updates, deadlines, and coordination efforts.
- Provide technical support to internal teams and clients regarding design specifications.
- Maintain clear, professional communication to ensure seamless project execution.
