This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and can manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously while ensuring high-quality production standards. Our Cudahy, WI location utilizes legacy machinery to produce custom brazing preforms in small batch orders, often including complex parts with varying specifications.

  • Promote Safety as the Number One Priority of all Lucas Milhaupt employees.
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Evaluate existing production processes and recommend changes to improve productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Design layouts and workflows to maximize space utilization and minimize production time.
  • Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies and automation.
  • Work with the quality assurance team to establish standards, methods, and procedures for manufacturing operations.
  • Implement corrective actions for quality issues and work on continuous improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and maintain equipment reliability.
  • Provide technical support and training to production staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Technical – Has strong knowledge of CNC machinery, manual machines, and other manufacturing equipment. Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) for process design. Understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and process optimization techniques.
  • Situational Adaptability – Ability to prioritize and execute various projects in a timely manner. Ability to adjust to changing priorities to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Educated – Possess Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
