POSITION SUMMARY
The role of Business Development Associate is to seek out and establish relationships with new potential clients, subcontractors, and vendors while maintaining good relationships with current and past clients, subcontractors, and vendors. The business development associate will research various project leads, identify potential projects, and support Preconstruction efforts as needed. The Business Development Associate is responsible for expanding market share in current markets while identifying potential new markets. This remote position will be based in the metro area of Atlanta, Georgia.

Essential Functions Statement(s
Leverage available resources to research bid opportunities to produce a minimum of ten quality leads each month.
Sales responsibilities also include:
- Attending, participating, and contributing to sales meetings.
- Proactively engage with clients to understand their needs.
- Compile internal monthly sales and marketing reports about sales initiatives and plans to contribute to marketing plans within a territory.
- Maintain and update customer contact information in customer contact software to include notes/history and activities.
Communicating:
- Writing and communicating confidently and clearly.
- Listening to the responses and concerns of potential clients.
- Adjusting communication style to different clients or situations
Responsible for making professional and effective presentations by:
- Presenting with a professional appearance.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and ability to describe Steel Service's capabilities and strengths.
Work directly with client contact to develop and maintain strong relationships.
Work with fellow business development and preconstruction employees to keep clients and internal departments informed and updated about bid deadlines and customer needs.
Work with outside vendors and sub-contractors to develop and maintain strong relationships.
Represent the company at trade association meetings, local market associations, charity, and industry events.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Development, or a related field preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in place of formal education.
Experience:
5 plus years of experience in Construction Estimating, Sales and/or Management is Preferred.
Computer Skills:
Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook (email). Experience with CRM software such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent is Required
Salary : $37,200 - $50,900
