Summary
The purpose of this position is to weld to Steel Tech and IAS standards/procedures.
Duties/Responsibilities
-
Weld material according to shop prints
-
Use cranes to rotate beams
-
Back-gouging
-
Quality check finished work so that it meets job specifications, Steel Tech standards

Tracking wins, issues/resolves, quantities
-
Wear proper PPE
Required Skills/Abilities
-
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop prints
-
Skilled in operating tools, machinery, and welding equipment

Skilled in keeping clean tools, equipment, and work areas

Ability to understand IAS/AWS standards and procedures

Ability to have focused intensity
-
Ability to plan ahead
Education and Experience
Preferred
-
High school Diploma or equivalent
-
1-2 year previous experience in a relevant field
Physical/Environment Requirements

Regularly perform repetitive tasks for long periods of time, standing, kneeling, hunched over

High energy, maintaining a fast paced, hungry work environment, lift 50 pounds minimum
-
Non climate-controlled environment. Dust and metal particles
