Junior Dealer Representative Job Description
The Junior Dealer Representative is responsible for supporting SteelCraft’s dealer network, primarily handling the portable sheds, greenhouses, and steel sheds under the Portable Shed Division. This role will also gradually assume responsibilities for standardized steel structures such as carports and smaller garages. The Junior Dealer Representative serves as the primary point of contact for dealers on these items, assists with marketing materials, demo requests, and various miscellaneous tasks. They will work alongside the Senior Dealer Representative, who will act as a lead but not a direct manager.
Junior Dealer Representative Responsibilities:
Responsible for all dealer and sales personnel training related to portable sheds, greenhouses, steel sheds, carports, and smaller garages.
Serve as the main point of contact for dealers on portable sheds, greenhouses, and steel sheds; gradually expanding to standardized steel structures such as carports and smaller garages.
Assist with marketing materials and efforts, including newsletters, product promotions, and updates in collaboration with the Marketing Specialist.
Manage demo requests, including coordinating with the appropriate Project Manager for new demos or the pickup of demos.
Analyze potential and current dealer locations to determine if they are a fit for SteelCraft.
Set goals and quotas for underperforming dealerships.
Provide support for dealers regarding questions, configurator issues, and price matching/discounts.
Schedule dealership visits at a minimum of once every six months.
Attend weekly sales meetings with Project Managers to address potential dealer concerns and provide updates.
Ensure effective dealer support by maintaining timely communication and professional service.
Coordinate with other departments in cases of revisions, cancellations, or special requests.
Attend daily/weekly/monthly meetings and other functions required by management.
Perform any other duties as requested by the VP of Operations or Senior Dealer Representative.
Junior Dealer Representative Requirements:
Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent preferred.
Proven office management, administrative, or assistant experience.
Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, especially Google Docs.
Ability to work well under limited supervision.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Warm personality with strong communication skills.
Have a valid driver license.
Must be able to manage own schedule and complete multiple tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
Must be able to independently initiate steps toward problem resolution effectively and efficiently.
Must be able to communicate effectively via telephone and email.
Must be able to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks; strong organization and presentation skills.
The Junior Dealer Representative will work closely with the Senior Dealer Representative to ensure seamless dealer support and growth in the assigned product areas. They will be expected to gradually expand their expertise from the Portable Shed Division to standardized steel structures, enhancing their skill set and ability to assist the dealer network comprehensively.
