As an Employee Experience Specialist at Steelhead, you’ll play a key role in fostering a positive work environment by spearheading onboarding, culture-building initiatives, wellness programs, and engagement activities. This position is perfect for someone who thrives on creativity, collaboration, and making a meaningful impact on company culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Onboarding: Welcome new hires by organizing first-day activities, creating personalized experiences, and managing their setup to ensure a smooth start.
• Culture Programs: Plan and execute culture-building initiatives, including pop-up celebrations, team-building events, and wellness programs to boost engagement.
• Employee Feedback: Use tools like SurveyMonkey to gather employee input, analyze data, and recommend actionable improvements.
• Learning & Recognition: Assist in coordinating training programs and workshops, track participation, and manage recognition initiatives to celebrate milestones and contributions.
• Event Management: Host and oversee internal events, including logistics, catering, and communications, while supporting wellness activities such as fitness challenges.
• Communication: Craft engaging content for newsletters and updates, keeping employees informed about initiatives and events using platforms like Zoom.
• Collaboration & Growth: Partner with the HR team to align strategies, provide onboarding support, and continuously develop your skills in a supportive environment.
• Other Duties as Needed: Support additional tasks and projects to meet the dynamic needs of the HR team and organization.

Qualifications

• Experience:
  • 1–2 years in event planning, human resources, employee engagement, or related fields (preferred).
  • Experience in customer service, volunteer coordination, or hospitality roles is also valued.
• Skills:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for cultivating a positive work environment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom) is a plus but not required.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

Schedule

• Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break.
• Flexibility: Weekend hours may be required as needed to support events or initiatives.
