Foundry Utility/Scrap Processor

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable Foundry Utility / Scrap Processor to join our stainless steel foundry operation. This position primarily involves material handling and scrap processing, with additional responsibilities supporting various departments including maintenance, and shipping/receiving as needed.

Key Responsibilities

· Process and handle scrap materials according to company procedures

· Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely

· Assist with general maintenance tasks throughout the facility

· Support shipping and receiving operations when required

· Perform basic measurements and calculations related to material processing

· Maintain a clean and organized work environment

· Follow all safety protocols and procedures

Requirements

· Ability to read and write in English

· Proficiency in reading a tape measure

· Basic math skills

· Valid driver's license

· Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly

· Ability to stand for extended periods

· Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment

· Reliable attendance and punctuality

· Safety-conscious mindset

Preferred Qualifications

· Previous experience in a foundry, metal processing, or manufacturing environment

· Forklift certification (training can be provided)

· Mechanical aptitude

· Experience with inventory management

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.92 - $16.91 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
