Job Summary:
Steelworx is seeking a detail-driven Asset & Inventory Control Manager to oversee all aspects of tool, equipment, and material management across multiple projects and facilities. This role is key to ensuring the efficiency, safety, and productivity of field operations by maintaining accurate inventory systems and coordinating asset logistics in alignment with project needs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain an asset tracking system for tools, equipment, and materials.
- Coordinate tagging, labeling, and data entry for all new inventory.
- Implement and oversee check-in/check-out processes for tools and equipment across all sites.
- Manage field communication regarding asset availability, delivery, and maintenance needs.
- Conduct regular audits, cycle counts, and reconciliations to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Track material usage trends and minimize waste, loss, and overstocking.
- Assist procurement by managing reorder points, vendor coordination, and deliveries.
- Maintain service records, warranty documentation, and inspection logs for high-value equipment.
- Prepare inventory and asset reports for leadership and project management teams.
- Support compliance by ensuring all safety equipment and tools are certified and in safe condition.
- Coordinate with multiple departments to meet evolving jobsite requirements.
- Ensure software systems are consistently updated and aligned with operational needs.
Education & Skill Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience in inventory or asset management (construction or industrial setting preferred).
- Familiarity with inventory software such as ToolWatch, SAP, or similar.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly with field teams, vendors, and leadership.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain.
- Working knowledge of OSHA compliance and construction safety best practices.
