We are committed to combining seasoned leadership with industry-leading equipment to offer full CSA services for industrial and commercial clients. Our expertise includes concrete, insulated metal panels, structural steel, drains, doors, infrastructure, heavy site work, underground utilities and more.
Job Summary:
SWX Construction is seeking an experienced Underground Utility Laborer with a solid background in underground utility installation and maintenance. The ideal candidate will support the installation, repair, and maintenance of underground utility systems, including water, sewer, and storm drains.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with the excavation and installation of underground utility lines, including water, sewer, and storm drains.
- Prepare and clean job sites, including digging trenches and removing debris.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Assist in the installation and repair of utility systems, including connecting pipes and fittings.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards on job sites.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
Education & Skill Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in underground utility installation or related field is advantageous.
- Ability to operate construction equipment and tools.
- Basic understanding of utility systems and construction practices.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety.
