Job Summary:
Steelworx Industrial Group, LLC. is seeking an experienced Underground Utility Superintendent with proven experience as a Foreman, Superintendent, or Project Manager in Utility and Earth Work. This role requires a hands-on approach, including operating equipment during the projects and leading the crew on-site. T
The Underground Utility Superintendent will lead project planning and execution, manage budgets, and serve as the primary liaison between the crew, project managers, and clients.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct utility construction and maintenance activities, including excavation, installation, and repair of utilities (water, sewer, gas, etc.).
- Plan daily work schedules and assign tasks to crew members.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and project specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections of work sites to monitor progress and quality of work.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and equipment maintenance.
- Coordinate with other trades, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members, promoting skill development and safety awareness.
- Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on the job site.
- Prepare and submit reports on project status, work progress, and safety incidents.
Education & Skill Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications or vocational training is a plus.
- Proven experience as a foreman or in a supervisory role in the civil utilities field.
- Strong knowledge of utility construction methods, safety practices, and equipment operation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Proficiency with construction tools and machinery.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.

- Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
