Currently, we are focused on hiring a GIS Technician proficient in digitizing, research and analysis, programming, and scripting with ArcMap 10.4 to the latest version and ArcPro 3.4.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor’s degree in Geography, a GIS certificate, or a related field, along with 2 years of experience in GIS is required; preferred skills, experience, and qualifications will be considered.
- At least 1 year of experience with ESRI ArcMap / ArcPro software.
- Experience in using and interpreting geographically referenced data is required (knowledge of projections, datum, map scales and combined scale factor is a plus).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Teams.
- Ability to follow instructions and take directions.
- Intermediate knowledge of ArcMap 10.4, ArcPro 3.4, or later versions.
- Experience in ArcGIS editing environments, geo-processing tools, and geometric networks.
- Familiarity with Google Earth Pro, AutoCAD Suite, or EPA.net a plus.
- Experience within a professional services firm is preferred.
- Experience in mapping utility pipeline transmission or service lines is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES will include:
- Develop GIS utility data layers from plan sets or AutoCAD files.
- Edit existing data layers.
- Conduct data conversion and standardization.
- Perform quality control and assurance procedures.
- Prepare maps according to provided specifications.
- Execute data conversion tasks from AutoCAD, ESRI products, and Google Earth Pro environments.
- Conduct basic spatial analysis operations using GIS toolsets.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
