JOB TITLE: Northeast Residential Sales Specialist (New England)


EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full Time, Exempt


LOCATION (Remote within specific area): Employee's Home Office based near Albany, New York City, Western CT, or Western MA.


HOURS & TIME ZONE: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm Eastern Time


PAY RANGE: Reasonably expected to be $45,000 - $50,000 USD annually based on experience, education, and location, plus an auto allowance of ten thousand two hundred dollars annually.

ROLE PURPOSE:

The purpose of the Northeast Sales Specialist role is to support Stego’s East Team in sales and market management activities in New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine by developing new business opportunities in residential construction, providing customer service, seeking new distributor relationships, evaluating growth opportunities within the Region and working to meet the East Sales Team’s goals and objectives, in contribution to the achievement of the Company’s goals and objectives.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (KEY RESPONSIBILITIES):

  • GOAL ACHIEVEMENT:
  • Collaborate with the Northeast Regional Director to develop and achieve individual and East Sales Team goals and objectives through effective processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and strategy implementation

  • Ensure cross-department collaboration and utilization of company resources to achieve shared objectives
  • Meaningfully contribute to supporting and assisting the East team and goal achievement, in furtherance of Company goals and objectives
  • RESIDENTIAL MARKETING & CUSTOMER SUPPORT:
  • Communicate via phone/email to introduce Stego products to the residential market and create demand.
  • Conduct meetings with residential architects, home builders, and contractors to market Stego products and increase brand awareness.
  • Attend pre-construction meetings to educate and set expectations for Stego product installations.
  • Provide customer service support by responding to inquiries and driving customers towards our local distributors.
  • REGIONAL & ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT:
  • Plan and lead the performance and execution of sales projects and other assignments, in periodic consultation with the Northeast Regional Director.
  • Strategically execute and apply Company sales processes and procedures, critically thinking and problem solving from start to finish.
  • Research and develop relationships with potential residential-focused distributors.
  • Attend regional tradeshows and develop relationships with Home Builder Associations to enhance brand awareness.
  • Utilize Stego’s CRM (Salesforce) to identify target customers and opportunities.
  • Draft and send out letters for installations and technical questions.
  • Assist with other related sales and administrative responsibilities, as assigned

  • Build strong working relationships and collaborate with other East Sales Team members
  • Participate in interviewing new employees in the East Sales team, as requested
  • Support and contribute to the culture and atmosphere of the East team, in alignment with Stego's Core Values


REQUIRED SKILLS, TRAITS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Must be a “road-warrior” and be ready to spend 60% of the week in front of customers
  • Strong planning, problem solving, and project management skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Extremely reliable and trustworthy
  • Strong ability to learn new CRM software systems and procedures
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment (strong interpersonal skills)


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (required)
  • 2 years of Marketing/Sales experience (preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) and Salesforce (strongly preferred)


PHYSICAL REQIREMENTS:

  • Ability to communicate on a daily basis by phone or video conference
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards and remain in a stationary position to work on a computer for prolonged periods
  • Physical ability to travel extensively to attend customer, industry, team, and company meetings and events


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work is performed in an office environment and on location with customers (which may include offices, warehouses/yards, and construction sites)


TRAVEL REQUIRED:

  • Ability to travel to and attend quarterly team and industry meetings, conferences, and events, including nights and overnight stays (approximately 10-15% of the time)
  • Ability to travel within the New England region to conduct customer meetings and grow relationships (60% of the time)
