Description
I. OBJECTIVE / GENERAL DESCRIPTION
SHIFT: 12:00AM – 10:00AM - 4 days a week. Understand and maintain a working knowledge of Stein Distributing total warehousing objectives and guidelines. Work with AM Supervisor and train all PM shift warehouse personnel and maintain a clean, safe and efficient working environment.
II. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Train, schedule and supervise manpower to satisfy daily warehouse needs and workloads.
- Control all aspects of inbound and outbound inventory.
- Ensure inventory is completed and errors are corrected daily.
- Help load all pre-sale and route sale loads daily. Ensure every load has been loaded accurately the first time. Trucks are to be preloaded, secure and ready for delivery.
- Have working knowledge of VIP system, functions and operations.
- Constantly observe unloading, loading and restocking procedures to reduce product breakage and damage. Improve operating efficiencies.
- Maintain open communication with sales, delivery, and warehouse departments to ensure timely, accurate and efficient coordination.
- Ensure the upkeep, cleanliness and security of the facility always.
- Must know and comply with Stein company policies and procedures. Expedite work objectives.
III. SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain FIFO policy to ensure products freshness.
- Restrict and limit access to product storage areas to warehouse personnel.
- Monitor and document performances and take appropriate actions to correct problems and\or reward good work and positive contributions. Update productivity charts daily
- Report needed equipment and facility repairs and services to Operations Manager
Qualifications
- Education: Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Experience/Requirements –
- Proven experience as a Warehouse associate, picker and loader.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and shipping procedures.
- Proficient with warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of purchasing, receiving, inspecting, and issuing materials.
- Ability to work independently with little direction.
- Ability to work while standing, sitting and/or walking.
- Requires the ability to stand, lift, carry, push, and lift heavy objects (up to50 lbs.)
- You must have reliable transportation to and from work.
