We are looking for a Site Manager to join our team at our Birmingham, AL location.
The Site Manager will direct about 50 team members on-site.
Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Primary site leader, responsible for overseeing 24/7/365 operations, maintenance and ensuring the site is operating safely, in compliance with customer contractual requirements, and applicable local, state and federal regulations (i.e. OSHA, DEP, EPA, etc.)
- Responsible for direct interface with customers, vendors, regulatory agencies and other third parties.
- Financial management of site operations, to include profit & loss responsibility, expense management, capital investment and focus on seeking opportunities for continuous improvement and revenue growth
- Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and company operating and maintenance policies and procedures.
- Manages staffing, leadership, motivation, training, and, when necessary, employee discipline.
Site Manager Qualifications:
- Five years of operations management experience in the steel (mill and scrap operations), aggregate, construction or other related industries
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Must have experience managing mobile equipment preventive maintenance programs, direct experience managing mobile equipment fleet maintenance is preferred.
- Experience with OSHA regulations and management of general HSE programs and policies.
- Effective written and interpersonal communication skills are essential
- Project management, planning and the ability to develop a business plan
