Reports to: Sales Manager

Job Description:

As a Sales Representative, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our company by exceeding sales goals, cultivating new relationships, and nurturing existing customer partnerships. Your dedication to exceptional customer service and your ability to recommend tailored product solutions will be crucial in achieving our objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Relationship Building: You are the face of the company and will develop and strengthen customer relationships by providing comprehensive product knowledge, pricing details, and exceptional customer service.
  • Customer Needs Assessment: Understand and analyze customer requirements and expectations to recommend suitable products and solutions that meet their unique needs.
  • Sales Conversion: Proactively follow up with customers on existing quotes to convert them into successful sales transactions.
  • Order Processing: Accurately process customer transactions, including orders, quotes, and warranty requests, ensuring a seamless experience for our clients.
  • Market Insights: Continuously monitor and report relevant market information and trends to supervisors and management to support informed decision-making.
  • Collaboration: Effectively manage your time and collaborate with fellow sales team members and cross-functional departments to achieve company-wide objectives.
  • Goal Achievement: Strive to meet or exceed all performance and financial goals established by your manager.
  • Price and Credit Terms: Present pricing and credit terms to customers in accordance with company procedures, with a focus on maintaining account status and supporting collection efforts when necessary.
  • Product Recommendations: Proactively suggest product alternatives to enhance customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability.
  • Shipment Monitoring: Keep a close eye on scheduled shipment dates and promptly communicate any variances to customers.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in using computers, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and Windows, and the ability to quickly learn internal company software.
  • Professional Demeanor: Maintain a professional and customer-friendly demeanor when interacting with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Adherence to Policies: Strictly adhere to company policies and procedures, including record-keeping systems as required.
  • Adaptable: Be open to taking on other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the team and organization.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Proficiency in computer usage, including Microsoft Office.
  • Highly organized with effective time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
