What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Control Manager position at Steinberg Diagnostic Medical Imaging?
This position is located at our Green Valley location- 4 Sunset Way (Henderson)
Hours: Monday- Friday 7am-3:30pm
SUMMARY:
Track and maintain supplies for company in order for smooth operation of business while controlling cost and spending. Ship and receive orders as well as placing orders for supplies to maintain stock levels through interaction with different vendors. Must be organized, thorough and able to withstand physical demands. Ensure all clinics receive supplies in a timely manner and identify additional needs and purchase accordingly. Track usage and patterns to avoid shortages or excess inventory. Lead and guide the inventory control team, via training and maintain time and attendance for dept. Conduct regular inventory audits and prepare detailed reports on stock levels, adjustments, and operations. Ensure adherence to industry regulations and company policies regarding inventory management. May be required to drive delivery truck to distribute supplies to offices. May perform other job related duties as necessary for the efficient operation of SDMI.
MINIMUM SKILLS, ABILITY AND REQUIREMENTS:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Great Plains software experience preferr
- Previous purchasing and or inventory control experience preferred.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and communication.
- Possess valid Nevada driver’s license and able to drive delivery truck.
- Computer literate
- Will perform periodic appraisal of each employee’s job performance, including current competencies which this position supervises.
- Oral communication/phone skill in dealing with various vendors and co-workers.
- Skill in organizing time to accommodate changes in workload and assignments in order to complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Skill to pay attention to details and accuracy in completing tasks.
- Able to withstand outside temperatures and work in different weather conditions.
- Knowledge of proper lifting techniques and the ability to perform such actions in a safe manner.
- Ability to handle problems that may arise and make decisions on how to resolve the problem effectively to ensure smooth operation of department.
- Must be a self-starter by demonstrating initiative and responsibility by performing daily tasks without supervision.
- Able to complete paperwork accurately and thoroughly and file away upon completion
- Respond positively to changes in assignments and priorities.
- Work as an effective team member with co-workers and other personnel.
- Able to anticipate needs of departments and order as needed.
