WHAT YOU'LL DO:
The primary focus of the Receptionist position is to answer & distribute telephone calls with a commitment to customer service. You will provide essential support to the initial contact for many of our customers and business partners. You will provide essential support to the Office Manager with interacting with customers, manufacturers and suppliers in person and over the phone, as well as, completing additional clerical tasks. A strong customer service orientation, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, and a demonstrated strong work ethic.
Answer phone and distribute calls.
Navigate through Steiner ordering system to find information to expedite and research problems.
Print and e-copy invoices, credit memos, and tickets.
Maintain appearance at the front desk during desired work hours, when covering for PTO.
Assist with marketing events as necessary.
Check internal faxes to be submitted over to Customer Service or Sales individuals in a timely manner.
Scan mailed in checks to the Credit & Accounting departments for financial records towards customer’s accounts.
Assist with on-going requested projects within the leadership team and/or Steiner team members.
Assist Office Manager on office tasks & phone support when coverage is needed for PTO. Will require this position to be on-site at the Steiner Headquarter office.
Attend functions, meetings and training sessions to enhance and improve product knowledge and customer service skills.
WHAT YOU'LLNEED:
High school diploma or equivalent required. College experience or degree preferred.
2-3 years’ experience in customer service field is preferred.
Experience in or knowledge of electrical distribution industry and products is beneficial.
Able to multi-task, be organized, detail-minded, and have a sense of urgency.
Able to work independently, as well as a team member.
Must be fluent in English. Additional language skills are beneficial.
Competent in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
Able to take telephone calls, transfer calls, park calls, leave voicemails, use the phone directory, create, and update personal voicemail greeting, daily if necessary, and page.
Experience working with office machines such as faxing, copiers and other general equipment.

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Make repeated movements of fingers, hands, and wrists
Reaching at or below shoulder level
