Steinhafels Furniture has an immediate opening for a Warehouse Recycling Associate at our Bolingbrook Distribution Center. You will work together, with the rest of our team, to recycle cardboard and plastic and maintain the cleanliness of the facility. The starting pay for this position is $15.50 per hour, with the potential to earn an additional $1.50 per hour through a perfect attendance bonus. This is a part-time position.

- Recycling Operations:
- Sort and separate cardboard, plastics, and other recyclable materials.
- Operate recycling equipment and machinery to process materials efficiently.
- Ensure proper storage of recyclable materials in designated areas.
- Warehouse Cleanliness:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks to maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Sweep floors, remove debris, and dispose of waste materials properly.
- Ensure recycling bins and containers are regularly emptied and kept tidy.
- Assist with cleaning and maintaining workstations, storage areas, and aisles.
- Assist with cleaning the associate lunchroom and workout facility.
- Safety Compliance:
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines when handling recyclable materials and operating equipment.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to management.
- Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work closely with warehouse staff to ensure efficient recycling practices and maintain cleanliness throughout the warehouse.
- Help with general warehouse tasks as needed, including moving and organizing materials.
- Environmental Impact:
- Contribute to sustainability initiatives by ensuring proper disposal and recycling practices are followed.
- Assist in reducing waste and promoting environmentally responsible practices within the warehouse.
A strong Warehouse Associate candidate will have good communication skills and work well in a fast paced, team atmosphere. We are also looking for someone who can be flexible as priorities change and is able to add value in multiple areas of our Distribution Center.
