Summary This person acts as a facilitator of the hospital's Infection Control and Prevention Program, and as a clinical resource for infection prevention. Responsibilities He / she will develop and implement strategies to prevent, identify, track and contain infections, and educate all staff on principles of infection prevention. He / she will be responsible for data collection, aggregation, analysis and reporting of patient infections and will facilitate quality and performance improvement teams and programs focused on infection prevention Requirements EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE Education and Work Experience : Bachelors degree 2 years experience in clinical / infection control preferred Prefer previous experience in infection control or certification SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS License Requirements : N / A Certification Requirements : Infection Control Certification preferred Age Specific Care Provided For : N / A Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel Microsoft Outlook Meditech (if applicable to position) Epic (if applicable to position) NetLearning Electronic Performance Appraisal System Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize one or more of the following : Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner. Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
