GENERAL FUNCTION:
The Manager of Admissions is primarily responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of the College’s recruitment plan. Under the supervisor of the College President and the Director of Admissions. Manager assists in the formulation and implementation of best practices, relationship building, marketing initiatives, and key programming efforts designed to positively impact enrollment at the College. The Manager of Admission also acts as the primary liaison for visiting prospective students, their parents, and educational partners; supervising, training, and managing of Admission personnel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment and enrollment management strategy for the College.
· Develop and implement a schedule for recruiting prospective students; serving as the Admission’s office primary contract with the campus community including departmental representatives; representing the college and providing information sessions and admission counseling for prospective students.
· Hire, train, and supervise Admission personnel.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of college, state, and federal laws, policies, and procedures related to admissions and enrollment.
· Establish and maintain an informational, active communication system with prospective students, parents, and high school and/or community college counselors which enhance the successful attainment of enrollment goals.
· Engage with internal and external stakeholders, related organization, and government agencies that support admission and enrollment initiatives. Identify and build positive relationships with college administrators, career coaches, faculty, advisors, success coaches, staff, high school partners and other outside entities.
· Provide creative oversight for best practices in marketing to prospective student, working closely with the Director of Public Relations and Marketing to develop publications, web pages, and digital communications designed to reach prospective students. Monitor, measure, and complete a statistical analysis of data to determine the effectiveness of marketing and outreach efforts.
· Assist with creating, modifying, and maintaining comprehensive admission records for data integrity using guidelines, complex rules, policies, and regulations for student records. Works as a team player to generate general correspondence, acknowledge receipt of documents, identifying next-steps admission/enrollment process for prospects, applicants and newly admitted students, and scanning documentation as necessary.
· Facilitate the admission process by working as primary liaison for prospective students, their parents, and outside partners for admitting applicants, responding to admission inquiries, which requires interpretation, explanation, and justification of organizational policies and procedures.
· Assist in developing web-based and on-campus orientation programs for new students.
Qualifications
· Minimum of two years of administrative experience in the admissions and records area within a community college or university setting.
· Experience using technology including e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, database, customer relationship management and presentation software, and use of the Internet.
· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
· Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Education and Experience
· a college or university degree is preferred.
· college experience in the administration of student admissions programs.
· Demonstrated experience of positive and proactive approaches in identifying problems, creating innovative solutions, managing projects, leading teams through collaboration, and implementing efficient and effective use of technology.
