What are the responsibilities and job description for the Board Certified Behavior Analyst position at Stellar Enterprises?
Job Description:
- Consult with teachers and staff to recommend appropriate classroom interventions for students with behavior concerns.
- Provide crisis intervention for special education students.
- Attend special education team and guidance team meetings as needed in the District.
- Collaborate with District staff to develop IEP behavioral goals and objectives for special education students on caseload.
- Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments and develop behavioral intervention plans for special education students.
- Provide training to staff on how to implement behavioral intervention plans.
- Consult with special education staff to develop Aversive Intervention plans when necessary.
- Provide staff development on behavior management, intervention strategies, anger management, interpersonal skills, problem solving, group process, and mediation skills.
- Consult with administrators and teachers regarding student learning, behavior management, discipline, and motivation.
- Gather information from the home environment to aid school success and assist parents in developing strategies to reduce stress.
- Provide consultation and limited direct instruction in social/emotional areas to special education students.
- Pursue training to increase professional competencies.
- Respond to special assignments as requested by the Special Services directors.
- Be trained in Safety Cares and become a Safety Cares trainer for the district.
- Recommend agency support services for students to the IEP team or District leadership.
- Act as a liaison between community and state agencies and school staff.
- Participate and collaborate with staff to recommend appropriate community placements.
- Continue professional growth in methods and techniques.
- Use technology for communication, presentations, trainings, and workshops.
- Adhere to Governing Policies and District Regulations and Procedures.
- Participate in special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s Degree in Social Work highly preferred.
- Twenty-five (25) credits required in Special Education.
- Documentation of successful experience working with students who have behavior disorders.
- Experience as a staff development trainer preferred.
- Valid Washington State Teachers Certificate or ESA (Psychologist, Social Worker, Counselor, or Psychiatric Nurse).
- BCBA certification preferred, ABCA required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
