Director of Rehabilitation, PT/DOR
Position Overview:
The Director of Rehabilitation is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the rehabilitation services provided at Rutland Center for Living & Rehab. This leadership role requires a proactive, organized, and compassionate individual who can effectively manage the rehabilitation department, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy services. The Director of Rehabilitation will ensure that all services are delivered in accordance with state regulations and the highest standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- DOR will be required to treat and provide direct patient care to its residents.
- Lead and manage the rehabilitation department, including physical and speech therapy teams.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for rehabilitation services.
- Ensure the department complies with all state and federal regulations and accreditation standards.
- Oversee the assessment and treatment planning for patients, ensuring individualized care plans.
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans for patients.
- Monitor staff performance and provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Conduct regular evaluations and audits of the rehabilitation services to ensure quality standards are met.
- Promote a collaborative, positive working environment for all staff members.
- Manage the department's budget, resources, and equipment.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physical Therapy.
- Active and unrestricted state licensure in a relevant therapy discipline (PT).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a rehabilitation setting, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of rehabilitation practices, regulatory requirements, and quality improvement processes.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead a diverse team.
- Experience with budget management and resource allocation.
