The Mechanical Piping Foreman is responsible for overseeing and directing the daily operations of mechanical piping projects. This role involves supervising a team of skilled craftsmen and ensuring that all work adheres to specified standards, timelines, and budgets. They will coordinate project execution with the site Superintendent and should have extensive experience in mechanical piping systems, strong leadership abilities, and a keen eye for detail to ensure the successful execution of project objectives. This role reports to the site superintendent through the General Foreman, if assigned.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Supervise and direct a piping crew, fabricating and installing all types and sizes of piping, including sanitary tubing, press, grooved and welded systems.
- Lead a team of skilled craftsmen to ensure adherence to specified standards, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless project integration and execution.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to maintain high standards of workmanship, after assigning a new task.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
- Develop and foster positive relationships with your crew.
- Monitor crew progress and adjust as necessary to meet project objectives.
- Manage resource allocation and ensure efficient use of materials and equipment.
- Ensure all crew members follow all safety protocols as well as company policies.
- Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned
