The Mechanical Piping General Foreman is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of mechanical piping and equipment installation projects. This role involves the coordination of project activities, ensuring that all project goals are met in accordance with established standards and within the allocated budget and timeline. The General foreman will also play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and productive work environment, fostering teamwork, and facilitating communication between different departments. He will report to the site superintendent but in some cases be the lead supervisor on the assignment.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Oversee and manage all aspects of mechanical projects
- Coordinate project activities to ensure alignment with project goals
- Ensure that projects meet established standards and are completed within the allocated budget and timeline
- Maintain a safe and productive work environment
- Foster teamwork and facilitate communication between different departments
- Preplan crew activities ensuring everything is prepared and ready to start.
- Other duties as assigned
