Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Storage & Backup Engineer to design, implement, manage, and maintain enterprise storage solutions. This role involves providing Level 3 support for storage and backup environments, troubleshooting production issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage storage and backup solutions.
- Lead installation and configuration of storage systems.
- Provision and decommission storage per documented procedures.
- Manage and troubleshoot NFS exports and CIFS shares.
- Perform system monitoring, optimization, and security compliance.
- Identify automation opportunities and leverage scripting & Ansible for repeatable tasks.
- Maintain documentation and create knowledge base articles.
- Provide on-call support as part of a rotation.
Requirements:
- 7 years of production support experience in Storage & Backup Administration.
- Expertise in large-scale SAN & Storage Systems (NetApp, EMC, HPE, IBM, Cisco, Rubrik, Brocade).
- Strong knowledge of NetApp Grid.
- SAN / Storage Administration certification is required.
- Advanced experience with AIX, Linux, Windows, VMware.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
