Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. The ideal candidate will assist in test fixture design, assembly, product testing, and implementation of quality procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards. This position involves working closely with the product design team, troubleshooting issues, developing test plans, and creating automated test solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the product design team to establish testing parameters and ensure product functionality.
- Develop and author test plans, test cases, and test procedures for various products and test fixtures.
- Troubleshoot and investigate product issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Streamline testing and checkout procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure all test protocols and QA procedures meet company and industry standards.
- Set up, execute, and monitor test protocols, ensuring accurate data collection and reporting.
- Prepare detailed test reports documenting test results, defects, and performance improvements.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams and cable drawings.
- Hands-on experience working with power supplies, function generators, and data acquisition systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or 5 years of relevant testing experience.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Experience in printed circuit board (PCB) testing.
- Knowledge of EMC testing and electrical safety testing.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks, or similar tools for generating cable drawings.
- Hands-on experience with schematic capture tools (Altium preferred).
- Ability to evaluate automated test data integrity.
- Experience with National Instruments TestStand or LabView.
- Expertise in automated test system design, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Hands-on experience in building and maintaining test equipment.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or C .
