Required Skills
- 3-5 years of experience supporting Medicaid Eligibility (TIERS).
- Extensive experience testing software in later development stages for reliability and accuracy.
- 7 years of experience documenting processes and test outcomes.
- Strong understanding of program, policy, practices, and business operations within state and local government Medicaid services.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
- Effective oral and written communication skills with technical and non-technical staff, including customers, stakeholders (State and Federal), and executives.
- (QA OR "QA AUTOMATION" OR "QA ANALYST") AND (HEALTHCARE OR "HEALTH CARE" OR MEDICAID OR MEDICARE OR TIERS)
Tools & Environments:
Microsoft Tools: MS SQL 2019/2022, Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server (TFS), MS Office (Excel, Word), SharePoint, MS Project.
Preferred Skills (Ranked by Importance:
- Experience with Agile software development practices.
- Technical skills for data extraction and creation of ad-hoc reports.
- Familiarity with MS testing tools and concepts to support the project test team.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Software Development Test/QA Specialist, you will ensure software quality by engaging in the following activities:
- Testing & Bug Evaluation
- Plan, design, and write effective test cases.
- Evaluate and test new or modified software programs and verify alignment with user requirements and established guidelines.
- Identify differences between established standards and applications, suggesting modifications as needed.
- Assist project teams in prioritizing bugs and enhancements.
- Interact with the development team to understand and translate requirements effectively.
- Collaborate with industry and government representatives on formats, APIs, messaging strategies, and hardware/software requirements.
- Monitor program performance post-implementation to prevent reoccurrence of issues and ensure operational efficiency.
- Write documentation describing program evaluation, testing outcomes, and corrections.
- Participate in integrated testing sessions across components and subsystems on test and production servers.
