Infrastructure Engineer (Linux/VMware emphasis)

What you'll do...

  • Oversee and optimize Linux servers and appliances, including firewalls, IP proxies, and routers in a hybrid environment.
  • Establish and maintain monitoring solutions, focusing on log management and patching for Linux systems.
  • Develop comprehensive backup strategies and disaster recovery plans.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, with particular expertise in Linux appliances, firewalls, and SIM solutions.
  • Assist with basic Windows administration tasks.

What we're looking for...

  • Proven experience in Linux administration, focusing on various appliances, including firewalls, routers, and IP proxies.
  • Proficient in leveraging VMware ESXi to manage virtual machines.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, particularly regarding routing and security configurations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows Server would be beneficial (must have a desire to learn and expand skills in this area).
