What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Platform Developer position at STEMboard?
STEMBoard is seeking a Platform Engineer (Platform Team) is responsible for developing and maintaining the production environment (k8s, OpenShift, VMWare PKS Essentials, etc.) They ensure a modern and secure foundation upon which all product teams can deploy containerized applications.
The Platform Engineer is responsible for working with the customer on how to handle data packages and support the integration of data science capabilities. Additional responsibilities include:
- Provides critical expertise on the architecture and building of data structures in cloud native environments that support data analysis and data management work within the Command Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO).
- Allows the CDAO to create logical and physical data models and flows, Evaluates and implements cloud agnostic data toolsets, Mentors data science teams on best data practices, Implements OCI complaint containers, AI/ML pipelines, related storage solutions, and infrastructure as code.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1-year experience is required
- Experience with lean startup principles and agile software development
- Expert in the following toolsets:OCP, TwistLock, Fortify, AWS Console, Quay, Satellite, and VSphere
- Security Clearance: minimum SECRET level
