What are the responsibilities and job description for the Irrigator Quincy Area position at Stemilt AG Services LLC?
Number of openings: 20 Full-Time, Temporary
Location: Quincy – Agricultural Services
Working Shift: Day Shift
Hours & Work Days: 7:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday; May vary depending on harvest.
- Operating an ATV to complete job tasks in accordance with company standards
- Turn on irrigation according to the Foreman, Farm Manager, or Regional Manager’s instructions
- Observe fruit temperatures and turn on overhead cooling when needed
- Inspect/repair pipes, sprinklers, mainlines, and other equipment related to irrigation
- Site prepare for the new orchard blocks
- Apply fertigation when needed
- Place/remove bins within harvest blocks
- Observe safety and security procedures as well as attend a variety of safety meetings
- Report potentially unsafe conditions and use equipment/materials as instructed
- Complete other job tasks when needed, this includes: pruning, thinning, pulling weeds, trellis work, tree training, general clean up, and planting
