5-10 years of overall experience.
We want someone with IT application project management experience, hence the language in our job description around SDLC (software/systems development lifecycle).
Not looking for someone who has done infrastructure project work focused. They need someone who technically understands IT systems, how they work. They want someone who has done full life cycle systems implementation projects. This person will be heavily involved with system implementation/integration and will need to be able to work directly with vendors and internal IT folks from a technical perspective.
Understanding of different Saas products
Systems implementation, migration project experience
Working with Data transfers
Experience partnering with 3rd party software companies for implementations
Someone who understands system integration
Education experience is a huge plus!
Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of the full project lifecycle and be comfortable in a less structured environment, rather than a formal, PMO-driven Agile setting.
Experience in the education sector is a plus, though not required.
Interpersonal skills are crucial, as the role involves regular communication with stakeholders.

Summary of Responsibilities:
Lead the development of S.M.A.R.T. project goals and objectives, baseline plans, budgets, resource plans, and working collaboratively with multiple departments and stakeholders, balancing competing priorities.
Coordinate the end-to-end system development lifecycle (requirements gathering, configuration, test case development, training programs, etc) of medium to large-scale technology platforms
Collaborate with business and academic unit leadership and various internal teams to develop and adopt new processes and technologies.
Develop end-user and stakeholder engagement strategies. Develop process-related documentation including but not limited to decision matrix, data models, process flows, and process diagrams.
Identify needed change, sponsor change initiatives, and search for opportunities to adopt best practices.
Manage project planning including the development of user stories, epics, and sprints
Conduct effective retrospectives and lead teams to continuous improvement.
Provide updates and intelligence to drive decisions with effective communications.
Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure consistency in messaging.
Identify, research, resolve, and escalate risks and issues as needed; Identify critical resource needs and working with other leaders, recommend appropriate internal and/or external resources to ensure successful delivery
Manage vendor relationships and resolve vendor resource/delivery issues
Provide broad assistance to the organization and manage all aspects of related projects to ensure alignment of overall strategic objectives
Prerequisite Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Project Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
Several years of consulting experience managing medium to large-scale technology deployments, incorporating traditional, Agile, and hybrid delivery models.
Working knowledge of relevant business management principles, and experience analyzing current processes to determine improvement in order to achieve efficiencies.
Experience building and leading project teams, and managing and motivating team members.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment, and a commitment to user experience.
Demonstrated experience working with senior business leaders across the organization.
Excellent meeting, workshop facilitation, and presentation skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and keep the team focused and motivated when faced with unforeseen changes and uncertainty.
Candidate should be prepared to share examples of past project management deliverables and artifacts.
Preferred Qualifications:
Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
Experience with delivering PM training a plus
Experience with the development and use of Smartsheet
Experience with Visio, Lucid or other process flow diagramming tool sets
Knowledge of ITIL, Service Management, and ADKAR Change Management frameworks
