What are the responsibilities and job description for the PEER SUPPORT SERVICES SUPERVISOR position at Step By Step Care, Inc.?
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Ensure that services are delivered in accordance with fidelity peer support model ethics and values.
· Provide clinical and administrative supervision of support team staff
· Develop and revise Person-Centered Plans for peers.
· Train support staff on individuals’ disabilities, their PCP’s, and PCP implementation
· Develop staffing schedules based upon the persons served needs, interests, and/or desires and the related strengths of support team staff
· Participate/lead treatment team meetings
· Ensure that services rendered to persons served are billable via management of cases and/or providing direct services
· Assemble a team of appropriately trained and qualified support staff to ensure continuity of care to individuals served
· Train support team staff on Agency philosophy of service delivery, as related to applicable service definitions, statues and rules
· Conduct performance evaluations for support staff team in concert with supervisor
· In concert with supervisor take appropriate disciplinary actions consistent with Agency policies and procedures
· Represent the Agency at local management entity and other necessary meetings, as related to the care of persons’ being served
Documentation
· Service notes
o Complete all service documentation including but not limited to the following: service notes, incident reports, medication administration, etc. on the appropriate form and in a thorough and timely manner, as required by State, Federal rules, statutes, Agency policy and procedure, and the Agency service operation manuals.
Submit service notes to the appropriate supervisor.
Position Requirements:
The minimum requirement for this position is either:
· A Master’s degree in a related field and 1 year of supervised, post graduate, experience serving persons with mental health and/or substance abuse disabilities; or
· A Bachelor’s degree in a human service related field with 2 years of supervised, post graduate, experience serving persons with mental health and/or substance abuse disabilities.
· A Bachelor’s degree in another field with four years for supervised, post-graduate experience serving persons with mental health and/or substance abuse disabilities
· Must have knowledge and one year’s experience with the age and population served and meet Qualified Professional Status as defined by 10A NCAC 27G.0104 rule.
· Must be certified or working against certification as a peer supporter by UNC-CH.
· Lived personal experience with mental health issues or substance abuse, have been managing their own recovery and who are willing to bring that experience to their role.
· Demonstrate knowledge of advocacy, self-help, and empowerment programs for recipients of mental health services and the ability to convey a message of hope and recovery for people with mental illness and substance abuse.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
