Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Job Description
We invite you to join our dedicated team at Step Up Rehab as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA). As a PTA, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate care in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Providing physical therapy services to patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Conducting initial evaluations and assessments of patient conditions
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to meet patient goals
- Maintaining accurate records of patient progress and treatment outcomes
Requirements:
- Education: Successful completion of an accredited two-year program for physical therapist assistants, recognized by the appropriate accrediting agency
- Licensure: Must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in the state of Florida
- Experience: Prior experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is required; familiarity with skilled nursing facilities is a plus
- Professional Membership: Membership in state and national American Physical Therapy Associations is preferred
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of Medicare and third-party reimbursement
- Experience with Net Health is a plus
