Maintenance Planner

Job Description

Stepan Company located in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Maintenace Planner.  In this role, you will report to the Maintenance and Reliability Manager.   You will be responsible for developing and managing a maintenance schedule to optimize resource use and meet production needs. This role involves ensuring safe maintenance practices are followed, coordinating preventive maintenance work, managing work order backlogs, and preparing for shutdowns. The position requires strong communication skills, mechanical and electrical knowledge, teamwork, SAP knowledge, and experience with contractor relationships.

Key Respnsiblities :

• Ensuring safe maintenance activities of the plant and equipment in line with internal and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain compliance in Process Safety Management (PSM) covered facility executing work orders and PM activities.
• Coordinate the scheduling of all PM work with Operations, E&I, MI, outside services, etc.
• Prepare and coordinate shutdown work on each process unit in the areas of responsibility. This includes all planning, scheduling of internal and external resources, key materials and managing and developing the shutdown plan.
• Develops the maintenance schedule with the assistance of production leadership.
• Update or prepare new BOM’s (Bill of Materials) for the system.
