Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Program Administrator for our Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program. The Assistant Program Administrator must hold an unencumbered, current license as a registered nurse in Wyoming. There is strong potential to convert to a full time role based on performance. The Assistant Program Administrator will be responsible for applying for Board of Nursing approval, managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the program, ensuring that it is meeting its educational goals, and that students are receiving the highest quality education.
This job is open to applicants in Wyoming and Colorado, as long as you are able and willing to travel to WY occasionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply for approval from Wyoming State Board of Nursing for a new LPN program
- Modify Stepful’s LPN curriculum to meet Wyoming Standards
- Manage program enrollment, including recruitment and admissions, orientation, and registration
- Oversee student progress and performance, including grading, academic advising, and program completion
- Recruit, train, and supervise program faculty and staff
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment for students
- Develop and manage program budgets and resources
- Conduct program evaluation and assessment, and make data-driven recommendations for program improvement.
- Available to travel to Wyoming as necessary throughout the process.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Nursing
- Current, valid licensure as a registered nurse in Wyoming
- 5 years (minimum) of experience practicing nursing
- Experience in teaching and knowledge of learning principles for adult education, including nursing curriculum development, administration, and evaluation
- A minimum of 1 year teaching experience in a pre-licensure nursing education program
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management or related field, preferably in a healthcare or education setting
- Experience receiving Board of Nursing state approval for a new program in Wyoming
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and external partners.
- Experience with accreditation and regulatory compliance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
