Position Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic Key Account Manager passionate about building relationships and driving business growth. This role requires creativity, the ability to navigate new situations, and a commitment to fostering genuine relationships with our buyers. Your goal will be to ensure the success of our retail partners and streamline their buying experience.
Must be able to manage deadlines, prioritize in busy season and be willing to travel to attend trade shows throughout the year. We need a mature team player who can participate and facilitate customer meetings. In addition, must be proactive, detail-oriented and self-motivated. Your ability to utilize, manage, and analyze sales data (spreadsheets) is important in order to be successful in this role. This position is based in our Lubbock, TX headquarters and the ideal candidate will live in or be willing to relocate to Lubbock.
Key Responsibilities
- Account Management: Regularly contact assigned accounts to develop relationships and increase sales, including managing open and inactive accounts.
- Sales Metrics: Achieve all sales targets set by the sales manager.
- Trade Shows: Coordinate and attend trade shows as required.
- Prospecting: Consistently prospect for new business to contribute to company growth.
- Reporting: Send weekly updates to the sales manager detailing projects, focus areas, and accomplishments.
- Sales Promotions: Communicate sales promotions to customers.
- Order Tracking: Monitor and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any customer issues promptly.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Sales experience to retail mass markets and/or wholesale customers nationwide or sales experience within the gift and wholesale industry.
- Energetic, passionate, driven and successful.
- Strong initiative and proven ability to achieve results.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and the ability to manage sales data.
- Capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Technologically savvy, with experience using various sales platforms.
- Ability to build and maintain valuable customer relationships.
- Creative problem solver with a positive attitude.
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary - Base plus Commission - Base pay commensurate with experience
