The Le Meridien Sheraton Charlotte Hotel is currently seeking individuals for the positions of General Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our StepStone Hospitality managed hotel. As our Maintenance Engineer 3, you will maintain the hotel's assets through ongoing preventative maintenance programs and ensures that all mechanical systems are operating in accordance with the hotel's and StepStone Hospitality's standards. You will promote quality service to achieve maximum guest satisfaction. Scheduled hours will vary weekly between Monday-Sunday. Weekdays, weekends, and holidays are required.

The role is 1st shift- schedule will be discussed.

The Engineer 3 role in a hotel setting is often a senior or highly specialized position, requiring expertise in managing complex systems, leading maintenance initiatives, and overseeing other engineering staff. The Engineer III often acts as a deputy to the Asst. Chief Engineer or Chief Engineer.

• Lead and execute complex maintenance and repair projects, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems.
• Support the Chief Engineer in overseeing daily engineering operations and providing direction to engineering staff.
• Develop and implement comprehensive preventive maintenance programs for all critical hotel systems, ensuring compliance with brand standards and safety regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve advanced mechanical, electrical, and technical issues, minimizing downtime and impact on guest experience.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers for outsourced maintenance and repair projects, ensuring work meets hotel quality standards.
• Mentor and provide technical training to Engineer I and Engineer II team members, fostering skill development and adherence to safety procedures.
• Maintain thorough records of maintenance activities, inspections, safety protocols, and inventory to support efficient operation and compliance.
• Assist with maintaining hotel, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities.
• Replace air conditioner filters.
• Tend furnace, air conditioner, and boiler to provide heat, cool air, and hot water for guests.
• Maintain standards of quality guest service.
• Tend to pool area including chemical balancing, cleaning, etc.
• Increase level of guest satisfaction by delivery of an exceptional product through employee development.
  
  

Respond and resolve guest requests, complaints, or questions in a courteous and timely manner.

Engineer 3 pay is $24/ hour

Requirements

• Minimum lifting of 70 pounds.
• Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.
• Hearing, writing, typing.
• Minimum pulling of 70 pounds.
