POSITION SUMMARY:
The Billing Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of drafting and finalizing client invoices for a group of dedicated attorneys in a timely and accurate manner.
REPORTS TO: Billing Supervisor
1. *Prepare and distribute draft invoices in paper and/or electronic form to billing attorneys
2. *Proofread time entries throughout the month and make corrections as necessary
3. *Revise the draft invoices as requested by the attorney in a timely and accurate manner
4. *Obtain authorizations for time and rate changes as necessary, per policy guidelines
5. *Track the status and timely follow up on outstanding draft invoices
6. *Adhere to client billing instructions (i.e., rates, invoice template, distribution method to client)
7. *Identify and address client overpayments, ensuring any refunds are timely processed
8. Provide excellent customer service in all dealings, both internal and external
9. Assist with special projects and ad-hoc requests

EDUCATION: High school diploma required; college or technical training preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE:
· At least one year of administrative and billing experience
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook); Elite Enterprise or 3E software a plus
· Demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail and thoroughness with work product
· Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and gather and analyze information skillfully
· Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
· Adapt to changes in work environment, manage competing demands and be able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events
· Work effectively as a member of the billing team
· Maintain strict confidentiality in regard to work performed
· Work without supervision and know when to seek guidance and input
· Maintain organization and a neat work environment
· Prioritize work in order to handle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
· Consistently be at work and on time, follow instructions, respond to management direction and solicit feedback to improve performance
PREFERRED:
· Legal billing experience
· Working knowledge of Elite/3E accounting software
· Two years’ experience in an office environment
PHYSICAL EFFORT: Sitting at computer for long periods, some walking to other areas of office, and steps when necessary.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office environment; some travel required; overtime when needed.
JOB STATUS: Non-Exempt. Full time 37.5 hours per week

Pay: $51,083.00 - $76,624.00 per year
