Wash Deck Operator

As a Wash-deck Operator, you are at the heart of our plant floor operations. Here you will be loading and unloading industrial washers and dryers. Operate washing machines by wash load formulation, processing sequence, and proper sling weight.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· This position requires attention to details, ability to move consistently and work independently as well as with a team.

· Must recognize colors and sizes, count and different types of textiles.

· Must be able to work in hot or cold environments.

· Comprehend and follow written and verbal direction.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Load, unload and operate washers, dryers, tumblers, extractors, lifts, hoists and/or other equipment.

· Maintain an efficient flow of textiles and supplies in these processes and monitor quality.

· Report malfunctions or problems promptly.

· Transport textiles to and from the work area.

· Continuously meet efficiency and safety standards for the position.

· Keep work area neat and clean.

· MARGINAL FUNCTIONS The individual may be asked to perform other duties as requested.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

· Must be able to read and speak English. Communication is vital.

· Perform appropriate basic math computations such as adding, subtracting, and counting.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Able to push and pull carts weighing up to 800 lbs.

· Able to walk extended distances.

· Routine physical exertion: standing, walking, climbing, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, bending.

OTHER:

· Work in other production positions as needed.

· Must show up on time every day. Attendance and punctuality are critical.

· Must be legally able to work in the United States.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
