Global Logistics Coordinator

Role Overview

As a Global Logistics Coordinator, you will master the art of international product movement, ensuring products reach their destinations safely, promptly, and within budget. Your role involves collaborating with customer service, central planning units, and shipping partners worldwide to keep customers satisfied. You'll also be tasked with meticulous record-keeping and serve as a vital link between freight carriers and governmental bodies.

Your Contributions

• Plan and coordinate shipments, handling all international documentation required for global customer orders and internal transfers.
• Guide and instruct material handlers on packaging best practices and necessary documentation for global outbound shipments.
• Coordinate with customer service, logistics centers, and freight forwarders to align orders with customer expectations.
• Be the international shipping regulations authority, evaluating product impacts and ensuring compliance.
• Retain accurate shipping documentation for the requisite duration.
• Develop and approve standard international shipping guidelines.
• Liaise with freight companies to promote customer satisfaction.
• Embrace additional responsibilities as needed.

Requirements & Desired Skills

Basic Qualifications:

• Completion of High School education or GED equivalent
• Minimum 3 years' experience in global shipping operations
• Proven expertise in Free Trade Agreements
• Competency in MS Office programs like Word and Excel
• Familiarity with Oracle, SAP, or equivalent supply chain platforms
• Experience with ACE for global transactions

Additional Preferences:

• Knowledge in domestic shipping advantageous
• Experience with forklifts or order pickers is a plus, or a willingness to learn
