The Mechanic is responsible for performing the maintenance and repair of all company property and equipment for their assigned coverage area whether in the yard or out in field at job site. They will follow preventative maintenance programs, manages the parts and supply inventory. Ensures all related maintenance records are accurate and current. Keeps management well informed of area activities.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Ensures efficient and safe performance of maintenance functions.
- Inspects, evaluates and recommends repair and/or replacement of equipment and vehicles.
- Performs maintenance activities and modifies existing equipment and systems to keep the facility and equipment in optimal working order.
- Maintains appropriate inventory of repair parts and supplies while ensuring accurate coding and organization.
- Adherence to preventive maintenance program for all equipment
- Ensures maintenance assignments are completed in accordance with established policies and safety regulations.
- Maintains positive working relationships with internal customers, suppliers, vendors, contractors and trade contacts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and logs.
- Coordinates activities between maintenance personnel and other departments. Ensures that maintenance activities are completed effectively and efficiently.
- Keeps management informed of maintenance activities and any significant problems.
- Performs equipment repairs in shop or out in the field as required.
- Stays abreast of changes in technology, regulations and recall notices.
- Other duties as required.
- High school diploma or GED
- Must have 3 years of industrial, mobile crane experience, and experience with diesel engine repair/rebuilds, hydraulic diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, undercarriage repair.
- Experience on brands such as: Link-Belt, Grove, Liebherr, or Tadano is preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of heavy equipment.
- Working knowledge of structural and mechanical construction
- Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
- Strong communication skills
- Must be able to meet company standards on background screen and pass both pre-employment drug and physical screens.
- Valid driver license.
