Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring safe and timely transportation for our clients. The Driver will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the vehicle by performing routine inspections.
Tentative schedule is currently Monday through Friday, 6:30am to 11:30am.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate vehicles including minivans, and wheelchair vans.
- Communicate effectively with passengers and dispatch to ensure a smooth transportation experience.
- Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the vehicle by performing routine inspections and necessary maintenance.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking as needed, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Keep accurate records of trips, including mileage and any incidents that may occur during transport.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing passenger inquiries or concerns promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; additional certifications for school bus or commercial driving preferred.
- Experience in driving roles such as delivery driver, van driver, or paratransit operator is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with passengers and team members.
- Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations while ensuring passenger safety.
- Must pass any required background checks or drug screenings as mandated by company policy.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
