Job Title: Power Systems Engineering Manager
Target Starting Salary: $130,000-$160,000/year

The Power Systems Engineering Manager leads and manages the team responsible for the design and development of Engine Installation Systems, Hydraulic Systems, and Driveline Systems across the material handling product line. This role focuses on enhancing machine performance, reliability, and standardization across product lines through effective collaboration with technology partners and internal teams. Essential Functions:
- Collaborate across engineering product platforms and technical teams to develop innovative solutions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external engine, hydraulic, and driveline partners to enhance development capabilities.
- Partner with vehicle systems experts and engine suppliers to establish a comprehensive power system development and validation strategy.
- Coach, mentor, and provide direction to the power systems design team, fostering professional growth and technical proficiency.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of engineering processes and procedures.
- Promote and maintain a high level of teamwork and collaboration within the organization.
- Ensure staffing requirements are met and resources are effectively allocated.
- Estimate resources required to complete projects and manage workload effectively.
- Collaborate with and lead international teams across different time zones.
- Provide budget input on product development tasks.
- Oversee team member growth and development, including performance evaluations and goal setting.
- Interface with engine, hydraulic, and driveline component suppliers to understand the design, fabrication, and application of their components.
- Oversee the detailing and release of engineering drawings for components and systems.
- Maintain CAD models for components, systems, and schematics using Autodesk Inventor.
- Lead new product introduction design efforts, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Anticipate and adapt to technological advancements in the industry to support future product development.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong expertise in designing power systems for heavy machinery.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a specialized engineering team.
- Ability to apply technical knowledge to enhance engineering practices.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Ability to manage multiple development projects under tight deadlines with a focus on safety and quality.
- Experience working with international teams and collaborating across different cultures.
Work Environment:
- Primarily an office setting with moderate noise levels and controlled temperature conditions.
- Occasional offsite work in various environments.
- Up to 25% domestic travel may be required.
Physical Demands:
- Occasional bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting of materials weighing up to 30 pounds.
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in an engineering role supporting product development, with a focus on engine, hydraulic, and driveline systems in material handling, construction, agricultural, or heavy equipment industries.
- 5 years of supervisory experience with a proven track record of leading successful teams.
- A master s degree in a related engineering field is preferred.
