Job Summary: We are seeking a Buyer to join a dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for procuring raw materials, components, and supplies necessary for production while ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery. You will collaborate closely with suppliers, production teams, and internal stakeholders to optimize the supply chain and maintain seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source, negotiate, and purchase materials, components, and supplies to support manufacturing operations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and on-time delivery.
- Monitor inventory levels and work with production teams to forecast material requirements.
- Analyze purchase requisitions and ensure orders align with budgetary and operational goals.
- Evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, production, and logistics teams to resolve supply chain challenges.
- Stay up to date on market trends, pricing, and industry developments to enhance procurement strategies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual terms, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to analyze data and make strategic purchasing decisions.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
