Overview
Sterling Engineering seeks a skilled Maintenance and Repair Specialist to perform work in the maintenance, repair, installation, and replacement of electrical and mechanical equipment in our manufacturing plant.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repair on facility mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment
- Predictive and preventative maintenance duties on pumps, presses, valves, fans, and safety machine guards
- Source replacement parts, materials, tools, and spare parts as needed
- Monitor and maintain CNC and related machine shop equipment
- Assist in building components for major plant projects/maintenance
- Operate and maintain forklifts and overhead cranes as needed
- Maintain spare parts inventory
- Troubleshoot and maintain engines, conveyors, electrical systems, CNC machinery, pneumatic tools, and hydraulic equipment
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 3-5 years of industrial electro-mechanical experience preferred
- Strong mechanical ability
- Electrical experience up to 480-volt 3-phase
- HVAC experience a plus
- Experience with PLC's desired
- Machining experience helpful
